Godalming
Godalming is a historic market town with a good range of facilities and a mix of high street retailers and independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Situated along the River Wey, there are multiple leisure activities to enjoy from cycling along the towpath to Guildford to hiring a boat from Farncombe Boathouse and spending a day mucking about on the river.
A particular draw for families is the excellent selection of both state and independent schools such as Charterhouse, St Hilary’s Prep School, Aldro, Busbridge Infant and Junior Schools and Godalming College for sixth formers.
Rail links are also excellent and it served by two train stations, Godalming in the centre of town, and Farncombe on the fringes. The A3 is only a short drive away for those needing access to good road links.
Godalming is surrounded by glorious countryside and close to a number of pretty, sought-after villages including Shackleford, Hambledon and Chiddingfold as well as a number of popular attractions including Winkworth Arboretum (National Trust), Loseley House and The Watts Gallery.
