A family with three children attending a leading independent secondary school in Surrey. They owned a main home on the coast and were open to either renting or buying locally. Their priority was simple: a well-located home that supported school life and made day-to-day living easy.

The Challenge

Rental stock in their preferred areas was extremely limited, and anything suitable was being taken almost immediately. They needed privacy, proximity to school, and a setting that felt like home but without rushing into a purchase before they were confident about the right long-term location.

Our Approach

We ran a dual search, exploring both rental and purchase options while keeping the focus firmly on lifestyle fit. Knowing the best rentals rarely reach the open market, we prioritised off-market conversations and filtered out any homes that would compromise school logistics or daily routine.

The Outcome

We secured a five-bedroom rental in a highly desirable location intended as a stopgap, but one they have happily remained in since 2020, with no plans to move on. It has become the perfect base for their family life.
